HE is more used to battling Hollywood villains, but George Clooney could have been left tackling a dodgy internet connection after thunderstorms in Sonning.
Several properties in the village, home to the film star and his wife Amal, were knocked offline during last week’s storms after a lightning strike.
The Mill at Sonning, which is next door to couple’s £10 million mansion, lost its web connection after a bolt of lightning hit the river.
Luckily, the theatre was reconnected with no lasting damage.
However, if you were expecting an email from Mr Clooney and haven’t received it, then now you know why!
