Upper Thames win mixed coxless fours

UPPER Thames gained success at Peterborough Regatta last weekend.

An Upper Thames/RAF composite mixed crew of Rachel Borrows, Fiona Gammond, Ben Farrell and Damen Sanderson raced in the open quads, finishing seventh of eight in band one. Borrows and Gammond entered the open double sculls — choosing this event as the women’s double sculls clashed with the open quads — to ensure they could still race and represent Upper Thames, but were knocked out in the heats in a highly competitive band one field.

Gammond and Sanderson claimed third place in the mixed double sculls final, while the team rounded off the regatta with a win in the mixed coxless fours.
