Shiplake Vikings junior girls’ scullers conquer at Staines Amateur Regatta

SHIPLAKE Vikings women’s J15 squad returned from Staines Amateur Regatta with two trophies.

Robyn Fielder, Eloise Taylor, Amelie Chandrapal, Amara Chada and cox Etna Mercadé, who had never trained together, took the honours in the quadruple sculls. The crew had a good start and despite catching a crab were able to quickly regain composure to power through the Reading Boat Club and Eton Excelsior opposition to a convincing win.

Elsewhere, Emily Mir won the junior single sculls.
