Kelso twins triumph at Staines

TWIN brothers Wolf and Milo Kelso claimed victory for Upper Thames Rowing Club in the J13 double sculls event at Staines Regatta last Saturday.

After a close quarter-final against Guildford, the boys pulled away in the final stages to win by three lengths. They then edged out Weybridge in a thrilling semi-final, coming from behind in the last 100m to win by half a length.

In the final, they established an early lead against Walbrook and held on to win convincingly by three lengths.

The Kelso twins, aged 13, have been rowing for three years, having started on the ergo at age nine under the guidance of their father, Steve Kelso, a long-standing member of the club.
