Hits unravelled in homage to legends

TONGUE firmly in cheek, tribute band the Unravelling Wilburys return to the Kenton Theatre next month.

They are a loving yet humorous homage to Eighties supergroup, the Traveling Wilburys — George Harrison (Nelson Wilbury), Bob Dylan (Lucky Wilbury), Roy Orbison (Lefty Wilbury), Tom Petty (Charlie T Jr Wilbury) and Jeff Lynne (Otis Wilbury).

The band is fronted by guitarist and singer Martin Dimery, alias Sticky Willy Wilbury. He will be joined by Colin Chalk (Thumper) on bass and percussion, Mitch Keen (Blind Melon) on lead guitar and backing vocals, John Freeman (Walter) on vocals and bass guitar and Andrew Bramston (Reverend Honky Tonk) on piano and keyboards.

Songs will include Handle with Care, End of the Line, The Devil’s Been Busy and many more.

They play the Kenton Theatre on Friday, September 5 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £22.75. For more information, call the box office on (01491) 525050 or visit thekenton.org.uk
