Day for Ruth hits £6,000

MORE than £6,000 was raised by The Oratory School in Woodcote raised for the Ruth Strauss Foundation following its second “Red for Ruth” sporting fundraiser in June.

More than 160 people gathered together in a marquee on the lawn for a shopping experience followed by a light lunch and a talk by Angus Fraser.

The former England fast bowler told of his career highlights and his involvement as a trustee of the charity, which supports families facing the death of a parent to cancer.
