PLANS have been submitted for a later living community to be built in Woodcote.

TA Fisher & Sons is conducting a consultation of residents and businesses for a proposed scheme on land to the south of Bridle Path.

The scheme features 41 units in a farmyard-style setting, including a community hub building and accessible open spaces.

The homes are designed specifically to meet the over-55s market and will include one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, which are single-storey chalet-style units which provide both market and affordable housing.

The central barn-style community hub will be a space for occupants to socialise, attend a class or activity or hire for special occasions.

The proposal also aims to achieve at least a 10 per cent biodiversity net gain.

The deadline for feedback is today (Friday).

A planning application is due to be submitted in the autumn with a view to construction commencing in 2027. It would likely take up to three years to complete.
