HENLEY TOWN have had two of their Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East games cancelled this week, writes John Bailey.

The first, away against Chalfont Wasps on Tuesday night, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Red Kites were due to travel to Bicester Town tomorrow (Saturday) for what would have been one of the most important games of the season.

But Bicester contacted Town chairman Kim Chapman on Wednesday informing him that their game was off.

Bicester, returning to the scene after a five-year gap, have no base in their home town and are currently sharing Ardley United’s facilities.

Unfortunately, ground work is being carried out at the car park at Ardley Playing Fields which means the fixture cannot be played.

Henley’s Sunday team, whose match last weekend was postponed, also have no game this week.
