AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U13s went down to a 3-2 defeat against SANDHURST TOWN U13s in the East Berks League last Saturday.

Sandhurst showed their intentions early on with attacking play from the whistle. An early shot was cleared off the line before a Sandhurst player passed the ball into the net to give his side the lead.

Henley hit back when Justus Larter beat the Sandhurst defender and goalkeeper to pass the ball square for a Leo Brown tap-in.

A charged down ball in midfield by Lucas Pestana saw a perfectly weighted pass to Archie Barker who shot just over the bar.

There was more drama in the Henley goal mouth when the Hurricanes gave away a penalty. The Sandhurst striker saw the ball hit the post and rebound out to keep the scores level at half-time.

Henley took the lead in the second half when Barker played the ball square again for another Brown goal. Sandhurst refused to roll over and piled on the pressure to level the score.

With time running out a good ball through to the Sandhurst striker enabled him to turn and shoot to score the winning goal.
