A MUSICAL evening will take place in Streatley next Friday to raise money for Goring library’s garden project, which is expected to cost around £25,000.

Musicians, including Harlequin, Vagabond and the Rural Broadband, will perform in the Morrell Room from 7pm.

Games and a music quiz will also take place with drinks and snacks available to purchase.

Meanwhile, the clarinet ensemble of Goring and Streatley Concert Band will perform at St Mary’s Church in Streatley on Sunday, October 19, from 4pm.

The ensemble will perform music from the medieval period to the modern period, including pieces by Schubert, Perez and Dorff.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for concessions, £5 for 11- to 16 year-olds and free for children aged 10 and under. To book, text 07762 339853.
