Browse around exhibition at picture framing shop

AT the The Caversham Picture Framer, we run a selection of art exhibitions all year.

They are always changing so keep a lookout for our new shows — you can stay updated by joining our newsletter through our website or following us on Instagram @thecavershamframer

Our current exhibition, which runs until March 30, is on Cat Croxford. She is a fantastic artist who has been painting and drawing all her life.

Cat finds her inspiration from nature near and far, including the Berkshire Downs and South Oxfordshire Chilterns, so you may see a piece of woodland you recognise.

Cat paints the changing light of the seasons, attracted to strong contrasts, rich colours and natural patterns. Her intent is to create paintings that might be the beginning of a story, a pathway, or window that leads to something hidden in our imagination or memories. Come in and have a browse, or shop online at cavershampictureframer.co.uk/buy-online

As well as our main exhibitions, we always have work from other artists on show, such as dynamic cityscapes from Christabel Forbes, stunning still lifes from Keshani Douglas, and beautiful paintings from the late Mary Louise Coulouris.

Mary Louise Coulouris will be the focus of our next exhibition, opening on April 2, with an event on Friday, April 5 from 5.30pm, where Coulouris’s daughter Saro will be giving a talk. All are welcome.

A leisurely browse through our portfolio racks, and a chat about art over a friendly coffee is a wonderful way to spend an hour.

For more information about our artists and their artworks, or if you have a query about picture framing, give us a call on 0118 948 1610, drop in, or head to cavershampictureframer.co.uk
