DANCE school principal Madelaine Kelly firmly believes dancing is for everyone — which is why adult classes are an important feature of the programme at the Madelaine Kelly School of Dancing.
“Dancing has so many positive effects, helping to keep you physically, mentally and emotionally fit — and above all it is great fun,” says Madelaine.
Adult classes on offer this term include:
• Body conditioning — a combination of pilates and yoga exercises which is designed to tone and strengthen the body, with particular attention paid to core stability, and aims to engender an overall feeling of wellbeing.
• Intermediate ballet — suitable for those who have a good knowledge of classical technique or who are returning after a break.
• Contemporary/jazz — with a mixture of styles this class will appeal to those who wish to explore more modern styles of dance and is aimed at those who have danced to intermediate standard.
All adult classes are open to anyone aged from 18 upwards and can be attended on a pay-as-you-go basis or by signing up for a course.
