A STUDENT artist from Henley has hailed her first exhibition a success.
Beth Savage, who lives in Queen Close, had a steady stream of customers at her one-off event at Life in Nettlebed interiors in the High Street.
The 19-year-old sold a few prints and took on several new commissions. “It went really well,” said Beth.
“I wasn’t sure that many people would show up but lots of people came.
“I sold a few pieces, which is nice, and I also took some commissions for print work on fabric.” Each print takes her about an hour to do and involves drawing a design on tracing paper before using a wash emulsion and a light box to produce a finished piece.
The former pupil of Nettlebed School, Gillotts and The Henley College, is currently reading for a BA in contemporary art practice at Bath Spa University, specialising in mixed media textiles and 2D.
The exhibition formed part of the professional practice requirement of Beth’s honours degree course.
