More than 70 people took part in a charity quiz at Nettlebed community hall in aid of a boy who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Zoe Muskett, 38, from Henley, raised £3,610 for Harrison’s Fund through the fund-raising evening. The charity is named after nine-year-old Harrison Smith, from Surrey, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a fatal genetic condition which affects the muscles, causing muscle weakness, and raises money for research. Mrs Muskett, said: “I have two boys myself who like nothing more than playing with their adorable four-year-old cousin Leo, who suffers from Duchenne. This devastating condition means that he is likely to be in a wheelchair by the age of 10 and will be considered one of the ‘lucky’ ones if he lives to see his 20th birthday. In between times, he will lose the ability to do all the things that most children can take for granted. I wanted to support Harrison’s Fund as the charity focuses on research. We all had a great night and I’d like to thank everyone who showed their support in so many ways.”
