A ROWAN tree in Hurdlers Green, Watlington, has been removed at the request of a resident concerned about the toxicity of its berries.

Their young child had eaten a berry from a branch overhanging their garden and became unwell.

The tree removal was carried out by the parish council with the approval of South Oxfordshire District Council and it will be replaced by another species.
