A MAN from Sonning Common is to appear in a TV documentary on Tuesday.

Tom Fort, 61, will feature in River of Dreams, which is based on his book Downstream: Across England In A Punt and follows his journey down the River Trent in a punt.

Mr Fort, a parish councillor, said: “I’ve spent hours telling everyone to watch it, including all the parish council.”

The programme will be on BBC 4 at 9pm.
