Hawks juniors swoop to secure plate and cup

HENLEY Hawks Netball Club’s juniors had success at the recent Laurel Park annual tournament in Arborfield with two of the eight teams across the age groups competing taking honours.

The morning saw two U9s, two U10s and the U11s in action, with the U12s, U13s and U14s teams playing throughout the afternoon.

Henley U10 sides performed well with one of the teams winning the cup event. The U11s, who had just one team competing, didn’t lose a match as they secured the plate trophy.

The U9s, many of who were playing together for the first time, competed with enthusiasm while the U12s battled hard and impressed with their attacking and defensive play.

The U13s showed good resilience and adaptability across their matches while the U14s demonstrated good teamwork and leadership throughout some tough fixtures.
