Teenage boy robbed at knifepoint in community centre car park

Reports of violent crime to Thames Valley Police increased by 30 per cent in last year

A 16-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Bourne End on Tuesday.

The boy was riding his moped in the Bourne End Community Centre car park in Wakeman Road between 10.15pm and 10.30pm when he was approached by two men who were travelling in a silver Vauxhall Astra.

The men threatened the victim with a knife at forced him to hand over his iPhone, jacket and cash before fleeing the scene in the Astra.

The boy, who was uninjured in the incident, then entered the community centre and was helped by staff to report the incident to the police.

The first man is described as mixed race, in his mid twenties, slim, with short afro hair.

The second man is black, in his late twenties, of larger build than the first offender. He was wearing black clothing.

Investigating officer, PC Alexander Trevivian of the patrol team based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We believe there was a jazz music event on at the community centre at the time of the incident. If anyone attended the event or was in the area at the time please come forward if you saw anyone matching the description of the offenders or have any other information.
