A village pub in the Chilterns, located between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow, has been sold.

The Dog and Badger is a pub-restaurant, recently refurbished to blend its 'traditional charm with modern amenities', including a private dining room and a terrace space.

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co announced the sale of the Medmenham pub to an ‘experienced operator’ this week.

Long regarded as a 'vital' part of village life, The Dog and Badger has enjoyed strong local support over the years and is seen as an 'essential social hub' for the community.

The former owner of the property based on Henley Road said: “We are pleased to see The Dog and Badger pass into capable hands and begin its next chapter.

“It’s a special place, and we’re confident it will continue to serve the village well.”

Lentia Veliai from Amarone Bar and Restaurant Limited has now acquired the property.

The hospitality operator is adding The Dog and Badger to its growing portfolio of restaurants.

Lentia said: “The Dog and Badger is a beautiful site in a fantastic location, and I am excited to bring a fresh, authentic approach to the business.

“I’m particularly looking forward to working with the local community to ensure the pub continues to thrive as a welcoming and vibrant part of village life.”

The sale was handled by Christie & Co associate director Tim Widdows, who was 'delighted' with the level of interest received.

"[It] reflects the enduring appeal of well-located pubs and restaurants, even during challenging trading conditions," he added.

“The Dog and Badger is a prime example of how quality assets in strong areas remain resilient and continue to attract experienced operators.”
