AN immersive production of Macbeth is being staged in Reading Abbey Ruins this week.

The play, produced by Secret Shakespeare®, the production team behind 60 Hour Shakespeare and Shakespeare Unstaged, will have no stage, no entrances or exits and no costumes.

The team describes their adaptation as “breaking the fourth wall between actors and audience”.

Macbeth in the Abbey Ruins runs until Thursday, August 7 at 7pm with Saturday and Sunday matinées at 3pm. Tickets cost £15 adults (£12 concessions) and the play has a running time of an hour and 40 minutes and is suitable for ages 12 and over. For more information, visit whatsonreading.com
