Free family workshops to bring 'summer fun to Slough' next month

Queensmere Shopping Centre is set to become a hub of creativity and family fun this August to make the school holidays memorable.

Free, hands-on workshops for children of all ages, delivered in partnership with Art Classes Group, will run every Friday from 11am to 4pm.

Each activity invites children to try something new and take home a handmade summer keepsake - from crafting colourful sea creatures to decorating beachy picture frames.

The event schedule is as follows:

  • August 1: Sand Art Workshop
  • August 8: Sea Creature Crafting
  • August 15: Seashell Picture Frame Decorating
  • August 22: Butterfly Decorating Workshop

Adding to the excitement, families can look forward to surprise appearances throughout the day from Harmony the Heart, Queensmere’s mascot, who will be posing for photos with young shoppers.

“We’re thrilled to bring this fantastic line-up of free summer workshops to Queensmere,” said a centre spokesperson.

“It’s all about offering families a fun and creative way to spend time together during the holidays, right in the heart of Slough.”
