Dr Anne activity day returns

09:30AM, Monday 18 August 2025

THE annual “Dr Anne” family activity day will take place at Ewelme Watercress Beds on Thursday, August 21.

Visitors will be invited to inspect a “moth trap”, build and race a boat, make a bug hotel, take part in a bird spotting challenge and arts and crafts activities.

“Dr Anne Day” recognises the contributions of the late GP Dr Anne Millar, who practised in Benson for 30 years and served on the parish council. She was passionate about wildlife and involving children in outdoor activities. Dr Millar died in 2013, aged 86.

The activity day will welcome primary school-age children and parents from 9.30am to around 2pm at a cost of £5 per child.

Spaces are limited so booking is essential. To reserve a place, contact b.e.connolly@
