THE River & Rowing Museum’s family activities continue, alongside its work and play holiday club on Wednesday.

On Monday, August 18, from 10.30am to 11.30am (please check in at the front desk at 10.20am), in “Stories, singing and making with Maddy: Farmyard Friends”, join Maddy for a morning of fun activities and transform yourself into a cow. Suitable for ages seven and under, cost £7.75.

On Wednesdays, August 20, from 9.30am to 4pm, work and play holiday club will take place. Art tutor Camilla will run an art workshop, where children will be introduced to various art techniques such as screenprinting, block printing, painting and drawing and will create their own pieces.

There is a 10 per cent discount on drinks in the café with a receipt, so parents and carers can enjoy the views while they attend to work or life admin on site.

All materials for activities are provided, please bring snacks for children and a water bottle. There will be a lunch break from 12.20pm to 1pm for parents/carers and children together. Suitable for children of primary school age, cost £30 one child, £38 two children.

On Thursday, August 21, from 10.30am to 11.30am (please check in at 10.20am), for Nature Club, join Sarah for a morning of storytelling, making and outdoor fun and the chance to be a nature detective. The theme for the day will be water, wind and weather. Suitable for ages four to eight, cost £7.75, please wear weather-appropriate clothing.

On Thursday, August 28, from 10.30am to 11.30am (please check in at 10.20am), Nature Club will again be run by Sarah, with a theme of birds, bugs and beasties. Suitable for ages four to eight, cost £7.75, please wear weather-appropriate clothing.
