Town centre visitors transformed into elves as part of Enjoy Maidenhead event

Children of all ages were welcome to transform themselves into elves at the weekend as part of an Enjoy Maidenhead event to 'Come as Yourself and Leave as an Elf'.

Riva Williams paints some rosy red cheeks on Advertiser assistant editor Nicola Hine.

Participants in the free event were given an elf hat, large pointy ears and rosy cheeks at various stations within Nicholsons Centre stores on Saturday.

The final station was at the Three store in the High Street to get an '#ElfieSelfie' taken.

Maidenhead town manager Steph James said: “We’ve put something on every weekend, and on the last weekend before Christmas we try to make sure there is a busy feel to the town and there is something fun to do.

“It’s good to get the independent businesses involved as well, the more you do together and build a community the better.”
