THE minibus service in Sonning Common has released its September timetable.

The Fish volunteer centre offers shopping and leisure trips to residents who have difficulty finding their own means of transport.

The bus will visit Tesco in Henley on Monday 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. There will be a visit to Reading town centre on Tuesdays the 16th and 30th. On Thursday 11th, there will be a trip to Waitrose in Henley.

On Thursday 25th, the bus will visit Henley farmers’ market. On Tuesday 9th and 23rd, the bus will go to Morrisons and Lidl in Reading with a pick-up time of 10am.

Passengers will be picked up from home at 9am. Each trip costs £4 or is free with a bus pass.

The bus also takes residents on a number of social trips in and around the village.

These trips will pick up passengers from home and will include:

l Trips to Sonning Common Library for its social mornings on Friday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26rd. The bus will pick residents up at 10am and return at noon. There no charge for these trips.

l A free trip to Fish’s drop-in afternoon tea in the village hall on Monday 8th with pick-up from 1.15pm and return at 4pm.

l On Wednesday 3rd, the bus will make a trip to a pub lunch with pick-up from 1pm. Cost £6.

l On Wednesday 24th, the bus will visit Portsmouth. The cost is £12 plus some entry charges and the bus will pick passengers up at 8.45am and return at 4pm.
