Grinch visits Christmas market

THE Grinch appeared in Henley on December 21 to visit the Christmas market.

The character, created by children’s author and cartoonist Dr Seuss, also visited various businesses in the town centre, including Gorvett & Stone chocolatiers and Laurence Menswear in Duke Street.

Its appearance, designed to create a buzz around town for festive shoppers, had been arranged by Henley Town Council in collaboration with The Creative Duck.

Together they had set up the market, the first of its kind in Henley, which featured 10 chalet-style huts for stallholders to sell to visitors and was in place from December 10 to 22.
