Rugby heroes spread Christmas cheer at children's ward

Rugby heroes, a friendly wasp and a touch of disco brought Christmas cheer to children in hospital.

The youngsters on the children's ward at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough were visited on Thursday by Nathan Hughes and Hugo Southwell from London Wasps Rugby Club, along with their loveable mascot Sting.

Sting and the players chatted to the children, gave out goodie bags and signed autographs.

Nathan said, “We came down today to help spread a bit of Christmas cheer, see the children and help brighten their day.”

Hugo said: “It’s great to come and see the kids at a time like Christmas and we wish them all the best for their recovery."

On Friday afternoon the tunes were playing and disco lights were flashing as Timberland UK hosted their ninth Christmas party for the children on Ward 24.
