Opening date of new Mega City in Slough pushed back to spring

07:30PM, Friday 31 October 2025

The opening date for a new family entertainment centre in Slough High Street has been pushed back to the spring.

The new Mega City at the former Wilko site in Slough High Street, was originally set to open this month.

But the team behind the project has said that it will now open in spring 2026, allowing more time for ‘design, fit-out, and community partnership work’.

The venture is headed up by Jeet Grewal, John Dhanoa and Mandeep Dhanoa – the same team behind the Airport Bowl at Heathrow.

The new centre will be packed with a range of activities for all ages, with the team previously revealing that this would include an arcade, bowling, bumper cars, party rooms, a bar and a restaurant and more.

The venture has been in the pipeline since July 2023 and looks to help ‘revitalise the area and bring in footfall’ from surrounding areas such as Windsor, Reading, Oxford and London.
