A Co-op store in Dedworth is undergoing a major makeover to give the store a ‘fresh new look’.

The store in Dedworth Road is currently closed for a seven-week programme to provide a range of improvements, including new lighting, flooring and new refrigeration.

A Costa Coffee Express will also be available soon after the store re-opens on Friday, November 7.

Customers will have access to online home delivery through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Parcel collection services will also be available via DPD and Amazon.

There is parking available for customers, as well as payment services offered via PayPoint.

Customers will be able to recycle soft plastic items, such as crisp packets, bread bags, biscuit wrappers, lids from ready meals and pet food pouches, in store.

The back of shop facilities will also be improved as part of the programme.

Masud Majumder, Co-op’s area operations manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to invest in Dedworth.

“The store will be transformed with a fresh new look to enhance the customer shopping experience – we really look forward to welcoming members and customers back into their Co-op when the programme of improvements conclude.

“We’re proud to be part of local community life.

“We have a focus on being a hub locally for the community, delivering the quality, choice, value and added services which can be enjoyed by everyone.”

The nearest Co-op store to Dedworth Road is on St Lukes Road in Old Windsor.

Other nearby Co-op stores are in Windsor Road in Wraysbury and Long Furlong Drive in Slough.
