Carousel Buses launches new bus route between Slough and Uxbridge

A new bus service from Slough to Uxbridge is set to launch in the New Year.

Carousel Buses has announced its 458 service will run between Slough, Langley, Iver and the Greater London town of Uxbridge.

The route will be up and running from Sunday, January 4.

The first service of the day will leave Wellington Street, Slough, at 6.15am.

On weekdays, buses will operate every 30 minutes from 7.30am until 6.30pm.

The first service leaving Slough will be at 6.40am on Saturdays with buses running every 30 minutes between 7.30am and 6pm.

The new route will not operate on Sundays.

Carousel Buses said the service will restore a direct link between Trelawney Avenue, Langley, and Uxbridge as well as offering connections with the Elizabeth line at Slough and Langley railway stations.

Luke Marion, managing director at Carousel Buses, said: “This is another excellent addition to our growing network and we’re pleased to be providing vital connectivity for people on the route.

“Whether you’re travelling for work or leisure, we provide a cost-effective and reliable means of transport to key connector routes and destinations.

“The launch of this new service is a great way to start 2026, as we look to continually expand and improve our services across the network.

“Other changes we are making are improving reliability, meeting demand and creating new travel options for local communities.”

New routes are also planned in Windsor and Maidenhead from Sunday, January 4.

This includes a new 4A service providing three journeys each weekday between Summerleaze and Maidenhead town centre.

Another new service, the 8, also aims to provide fast and frequent links between Maidenhead town centre, Maidenhead railway station, St Mark's Hospital, Newlands Girls' School and Halifax Road.
