WE have had another fantastic summer at the Cat’s Whiskers Cattery Hotel, with so many lovely cats in — exotic ones, moggy ones, black/ginger/grey/tabby ones of every size, breed and colour — all much loved by their owners.
We have been especially busy with long-stay cats — some of whom have stayed with us for many months (the longest 18 months), some returning to new homes as their owners have boarded them whilst undergoing the long process of moving house.
Others have been with us for a couple of weeks, which has become months as building works have taken longer to complete on their homes — but all have now gone home to explore their new gardens and houses.
We have also spent the winter months improving the cattery, making a new wash room so that trays/litter are kept away from the bedding/food areas.
We have added glazing to the front of the cattery making it cool in summer but much warmer in the winter keeping all the wind and rain at bay as we are able to open and close the windows. Our plans for next year are to improve our long-stay facilities with bigger deluxe chalets, making it more homely and spacious for the long-stay and longer than normal holidays which many people tend to have now.
