Smith and Pollard crowned club champions

JAMIE Smith and Karen Pollard are this year’s men’s and ladies’ club champions at Henley Golf Club.

In the men’s event, Smith triumphed with a combined score of 139, narrowly beating Edgar Aponte who finished on 140 in second place. Martyn Metcalfe and Mark Bradley finished tied for third on a total of 142. The ladies’ championship also went right down to the wire. Pollard clinched the title with a score of 162, narrowly edging out Erica Brady by a single shot. Brady claimed the handicap prize for the lowest net score over the two days.
