HENLEY’S Dave Wilson, Kevin Currill and Simon Hatcher triumphed in the County Men’s Triples final at Banbury Chestnuts Bowling Club.
Henley got off to a slow start and were five shots down before they started to score themselves. By the 14th end they had taken a 12-11 lead and increased that to 16-11 by the last end. Although their opponents from Adderbury scored two on the last end, Henley’s triple were crowned the champions.
The trio will now play at Leamington Spa, representing Oxfordshire in the National Championships with their first match on August 23 against a Hampshire team.
