THE Hennerton backwater in Wargrave is open again after a fallen tree was cleared.
The large willow had fallen about 300m downstream of Jackson’s Bridge.
Tree surgeon Timothy Dodds-Wilson and volunteers from the Hennerton Backwater Association removed the tree.
On Tuesday, Mr Dodds-Wilson helped the association to fell a poplar tree 200m downstream of Johnson’s Bridge.
The backwater was closed while the tree was removed in the interests of safety.
