Improved facilities at Twyford railway station have been officially unveiled during a ceremony.
Great Western Railway (GWR) marked the completion of major improvement works at the station with an opening event on Friday, December 12.
The works have been designed to create ‘a more welcoming and secure environment’ for passengers who use the station.
The upgrades include a new open-plan desk and an enhanced seating area.
Also featured is a new retail facility, offering shopping within the station building.
Ticket vending machines have been relocated from the platform to inside the station for ‘improved security and weather protection’.
Facilities for colleagues have also been upgraded.
The improvements are part of GWR’s ongoing investment into station facilities across the network.
Tom Pierpoint, GWR business development director, said: “These improvements represent our commitment to the community we serve and in creating stations that work better for everyone who uses them.
“Over 1.7million passenger journeys a year are made from this station, and every customer deserves facilities that are modern, secure, and comfortable.
“From the new open-plan ticket desk that makes staff more accessible, to bringing the ticket machines inside where it's safer and more sheltered, every change has been designed with our customers in mind.
“We're also pleased to welcome a new retail site adding convenience for travellers.”
