A DOG was rescued after it got caught in barbed wire at Gillotts Corner Field in Henley on Monday.

The border terrier got a leg trapped in the discarded wire at the junction of the path leading to the Highlands Park development.

Another dog walker was able to find tools to cut the wire and a mobile vet also helped. The small wounds were treated with antibiotics and no stitches were needed.
