A WOMAN from Sonning Common fractured her spine and ribs after colliding with motorbikes on a bridleway where she was riding her horse.

The woman was riding on the bridleway between Devil’s Hill and Harpsden Road on Thursday last week between 5.45pm and 6pm when she encountered three young men scrambler bikes.

The horse was startled by the bikes and the rider was hospitalised but has since been discharged.

It is a criminal offence to drive motorised vehicles on a bridleway and Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.
