Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire

LOWLAND Rescue Oxfordshire has taken delivery of a new water trailer.

This was made possible following a £3,000 donation from the Oxfordshire Freemasons.

The delivery of the purpose-built trailer marks an exciting milestone for the team.

It will be used to store essential water rescue equipment and also serve as a mobile office space, allowing team members to analyse sonar data on-site during emergency call-outs.

This will significantly enhance Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire’s operational capability, particularly during time-critical water search and rescue incidents.

Chairwoman Teresa Archer said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Oxfordshire Freemasons for their generosity and continued support.

“This new trailer will make a real difference to our response times and efficiency when dealing with water-related emergencies, ultimately helping us to save lives.”

Representatives from the Oxfordshire Freemasons said they were proud to support the vital work carried out by the volunteer team, which assists Thames Valley Police and other emergency services in searching for vulnerable missing people across the county and beyond.

Tim Grier, provincial grand charity steward of Oxfordshire Freemasons, said: “We’re honoured to help provide this valuable resource to such a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time and expertise to support our community.”

Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire operates entirely through the dedication of trained volunteers and relies on public donations and community support to continue its lifesaving work.
