THE chief executive of South Oxfordshire and Vale district councils will step down on Tuesday.

Mark Stone had been in the role for eight years and played a central role in recruiting and leading the councils’ current senior management team.

He also oversaw the delivery of the authority’s own housing stock for the first time in more than 25 years.
