MODIFICATION orders for public rights of way in Stoke Row and Checkendon have been issued by Oxfordshire County Council.

The Stoke Row Bridleway No. 1, which runs northwards to Stoke Row, will be extinguished under the order, while a new footpath will be created to run from Newlands Lane.

In Checkendon, changes to the alignment of bridleways leading to the Peppard boundary, Stoke Row Road and Neals Lane will come into effect.

Meanwhile, the council has announced a two-week road closure in Park Lane, Stonor, from Wednesday, September 24, to allow for fibre cabling works.
