PERFORMERS defied a weather-induced change in venue to dazzle on the 15th night of the Henley Living Advent Calendar.

The audience were treated to singing and dancing by the Henley, Marlow and High Wycombe branch of Stagecoach Theatre School.

A group of 11 performers had been scheduled to do a moving performance around The Henley College's ground but plans were changed due to rain.

Instead they performed at the Deanfield Reception with crowds watching on from under gazebos outside the building.

Their set started with a dance to I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus by The Jackson Five, followed by signing Half a World Away from this year's John Lewis Christmas advert.

Originally the song was by Oasis but the version for the festive advert Aurora.

They followed up with Say Something (I'm Giving Up On You) by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera.

A medley of songs from the Lion King, including Be Prepared and The Circle of Life, closed the performance.

Clare Gosling, principal of the branch, said: "I'm really pleased considering we had planned to do it outside.

"The students did brilliantly working in an unusual space. I'm incredibly proud.

"One of my students told me about the Living Advent Calendar when they went last year so we contacted them and we're delighted to have been involved. We would love to be next year."

The event was partnered by Mexican restaurant Pachangas, on Duke Street, who provided chicken wings and quesadillas.

Wyfold Riding for the Disabled was the charity partner for the event.

Tonight's performance will take place at The River and Rowing Museum.
