First look at the UK's 'first Lego woodland themed holiday village' due to open at Legoland

The team Legoland in Windsor have been recreating creatures to do on display at the UK’s ‘first Lego woodland themed holiday village’ this May.

The £35m Legoland Woodland Village development will feature a selection of woodland animals of all shapes and sizes, made from Lego.

From a family of Fallow Deer and miniature rabbits to the Red Kite, ducks and ducklings, visitors will see an array of animals, which will go on display when the new accommodation opens to guests on Friday, May 24.

Model makers used thousands of Lego bricks and spent more than 300 hours creating the models, which have been installed on the Lego nature trail.

The village includes 130 lodges, 20 camping barrels, The Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar, and a family entertainment hub nestled among trees on the 10-acre site.

Helen Bull, divisional director at Legoland Windsor Resort, said: “The countdown is on to the opening of the UK’s first Lego themed holiday village which will offer families the perfect blend of comfort and adventurous play surrounded by nature.

“Woodland Village will offer a unique short break experience where guests will be able to spot an amazing array of new Lego creature models built by our incredibly talented team.

“Families may even be able to catch a glimpse of a real deer or Red Kite, which will be particularly exciting for Junior Rangers during their stay.”

Prices to book at Legoland Woodland Village start from £69 per person, including entry to the theme park, a round of Legoland adventure golf, and bed and breakfast.
