A dog show and circus skills planned for this year's Twyford Village Fete

Circus skills and a mobile farm are just some of the treats on offer at this year’s Twyford Village Fete.

The popular event is back at Stanlake Meadow for its ninth year on Saturday, August 16 and will run from 1pm to 5pm.

The occasion brings together residents, charities and local businesses for an afternoon of fun, entertainment and fundraising for good causes.

Visitors will enjoy an array of treats this year, including a performance from the Vander Superheroes Wheel of Death Show.

The performance promises ‘jaw-dropping, gravity-defying stunts that will thrill the whole family’.

The Mighty Triple O’s will also be taking to the stage to perform.

Guests will enjoy the classic sports and supercar show, as well as Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre’s Dog Show.

A crowd-favourite tug of war, led by Master of Ceremonies Nick Fish, will see teams go head-to-head.

There will be a wide range of food and drink stalls to enjoy, including a licensed bar.

Local craft and community stalls will be open for guests to enjoy.

Twyford Parish Council will also be funding a number of free activities for children.

Some of these include circus skills, an inflatable obstacle course, hoverboards, zorbs and go-karts.

Entry to the event is free on foot.

Parking is available and will cost £5, with proceeds going to charity.
