Henley smash Faringdon in dominant performance

HENLEY Tennis Club’s men’s A team eased to a comfortable 7-1 win at Faringdon A in last Sunday’s Oxfordshire League encounter.

Players contended with bright, breezy conditions throughout the afternoon, with the low sun proving troublesome on serve. Despite this, Henley settled quickly and produced a confident performance across both pairs.

The first pair of Max Miles-Thomas and Mike Whorrell dominated their rubbers with impressive score lines of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0. The second pair, David Hunte and Matt Hallam, faced tighter contests, halving their opening rubber 5-7, 6-4 before securing the second 6-1, 6-4.
