THE Thames Country Fair returns to the Thame Showground for the Easter Bank Holiday.
Traditional country sports as well as other entertainment will be on show in three main arenas, offering brilliant family viewing on Easter Sunday and Monday, April 5 and 6.
Harvey Shires, a four–horse team with a display of farming implements and carriages, will also be joining us for the first time in this our 17th year.
After their displays you will be able to see them in their compound to watch the dressing and preparation of the horses.
Also new this year are the Welsh Axemen, who will demonstrate techniques used to simulate the felling of trees and cutting them into lengths.
Standing block, underhand block, climb the tree and hard hit block are all  disciplines of axe racing â?? come and find out what they involve.
Marvel too at what the chainsaw carvers can create in only 30 minutes in the speed chainsaw carving competition.
Other entertainment includes the Falconry Village, Owl Show and Eagle Show, the Craft Village, Food Glorious Food Show, World of Dogs Arena and the new Speed Shooting Competition for airguns and pistols.
The show is open from 10am to 6pm daily. Admission costs £12 for adults, £11 over–65s and £4 for children.
