THIEVES who tried to steal a quad bike from a house in Wargrave were foiled when the owner returned home.

The resident was reversing into his driveway in Kentons Lane at about 7.45pm on Thursday last week when he saw the two men in a dark blue Volvo estate.

The men drove away before the resident noticed the quad bike had been moved from a barn on the property to the driveway. There were wire cutters and a screwdriver on the seat.

Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 101.
