IT seems you would be exceptionally unlucky to be fined for setting off a speed camera in the Henley area.

At a recent meeting of Henley Town Council’s traffic advisory committee, Councillor David Nimmo Smith said there were about 70 camera boxes in Oxfordshire but he believed only a few actually contained cameras.

Nonetheless the devices are largely effective as most drivers slow down when approaching them. I guess that it’s a gamble few are willing to take.
