JAMES FREEDMAN, the stealth-crime expert, has cancelled his one-off gig at the Kenton Theatre in Henley on June 6 due to injury.

The so-called “honest pick-pocket” has suffered a hand injury, which prevents him from performing.

Freedman, who has now cancelled his Man of Steal tour, said in a statement: “I am bitterly disappointed and really don’t want to let anyone down, but my hands are the tools of my trade and I don’t want to risk long-term damage.”

He added: “I hope to be back on the road in the not-too-distant future.”
